When we first started out a few months ago I was thinking to myself about how to really add a personal touch to all the orders that leave the shirt-poreum (also known as the cutting room floor, in plain english the print studio). We decided that all orders will have a hand written thank you card signed by Steve and I. How many times can you say when you ordered something from somewhere that he owners of the company signed thanked you with a personalize note? Probably never.
For my 9-5 job I work at a building supply company. I order tools from time to time from this company in Alberta. Whenever I order anything they always throw in a bag of assorted chocolates. Nothing made me happy than getting free candy with my order. I would find myself needing to order some tools and I would order with them, instead of someone local just so I could get the free candy. The light bulb went off a few months ago and we decided to give away assorted candy with each order. So a few orders got some Hershey Kiss', some got Caramel candy squares and it was great. But then we thought what would be better than free candy? Custom designed and packaged in house candy, that's what.
Steve and I are movie fans; I fall more into the buff category (also in stature) than he does, and some of the shirts are based around movies.
So we set off on a brainstorming session and the seed was planted into the egg. We decided to call our candy line Reel, partly because it is real food, and partly for a movie film reel (movie buff shining brightly through on this). And it was born TTOFS' Reel Kernel Corn.
So what better way to show our appreciation to a purchaser than reward them with popcorn to enjoy while wearing their new shirt?
After the Kernel Corn we wanted something a little easier to enjoy. The popcorn is great, but not easy to snack on the go. So we came up with TTOFS' Reel Zom Nom Nom's.
Nom Nom's are body part candy that you feed to your friends and family who are now murderous zombies. Instead of gnawing on your arm, they can wolf down a few Nom Nom's to curb the appetite.
The candies are freebies only, and can be considered highly collectible. We are already dreaming up new ideas for Reel give aways, so order quick to ensure yours because once the are gone, they are gone forever.
But, we decided to come up with a few small things that could be for sale on the site, and thus The Bob-Omb Kaboom Candle particalized before our eyes.
