Great weekend in the books for TTOFS! We printed a new A1 Wrestling NFL-inspired t-shirt to coencide with the Super Game of Bowls or something or other that took place yesterday...or something...
Great A1 show as per usual and I was particularly stoked to film a TTOFS promo and call a match with Mr. Wrestling himself: KEVIN FRIGGIN STEEN!!!
Steen also wore our Bill F'N Murray design in the intro for BotchaMania 200!

Two years is a long time. Three years ago is a longer time. 8 years ago when Noel and I were BS'ing about shirts in the backseat of a car (others were there; it wasn't romantic or anything)is an even longer time.
2004 is when we pitched t-shirt ideas to one another, brainstormed the name and the world was our oyster (how great are oysters?)
We have come along way since our crappy MySpace catalogue full of non-existent MS Paint designs. Truth is, I technicially shouldn't have even be a part of all of this.
In 2009 Noel wanted to turn this into a reality and bring these MS Paint Picasos to life! He asked for me to be a financially equal business partner. I didn't have a secure job and this wasn't really an option for me at the time. I had to respectfully decline and as per Noel's offer...no money, no partner. I had to deal with the fact I wouldn't be part of this venture. Don't get me wrong; it's not that I didn't faith in the idea, but just couldn't afford it.
You'd be hard pressed to ever find an occasion where Noel went back on his word, but he did this time and made me a creative partner and part of this budding brand. Looking back now, it's one of the best empty threats ever.
From the get-go Noel was the printer: that much was established. I was bestowed with the honour of packaging, which I liked but I felt there was more that I could do. At first Noel wasn't hella receptive to my ideas or my criticisms (I guess it was mutual) but eventually we found our sweet spot and the creative process became that of equal parts Noel and Steve.
Still feeling I had more to contribute, Noel gave me more and more web duties. Many a night spent at my night-shift job (when it was slow I'M NOT A TIME THIEF OK???) trying to make the website cooler and more seamless. Let's just say it was warm and full of seams...
It was only last year through lots of research I developed a bit of a knack to code the site. Could I create a site from scratch? Naw. But through major trial and error, I learned what needed to be done.
I'm not responsible for the site being as rad as it is today, but helped for sure!
We have accomplished way more than I ever thought possible within the first 2 years:
-Numerous shows met with great feedback and great customers
-Printing shirts for awesome wrestling/wrestling companies like Kevin Steen, MDogg 20, Ring of Honor, ISW, C4, A1, etc.
-Getting our shirts stocked in an actual shop (Bodega 200 King St. W. Hamilton, Ontario)
And so much more on the horizon!

-Noel: Any other person would have set sail without me. Though you bust my chops 23 hours and 59.5 minutes a day, thanks so much for making me a part of this! Most determined dude I know!

Wow. TTOFS is 2 years old. I can't say that I'm surprised we made it this far. Because I knew and know we would be around for a long time. But what I am surprised at is the customer base we have grown in 2 years. We have printed shirts for all different kinds of people and events. We have sold shirts at great wrestling shows, concerts, and conventions. And the best part is meeting all the great customers who appreciate our brand and our services.
It seems like just yesterday we jumped into this thing with zero knowledge and a heck of a lot of expectations. 2 years later we have the knowledge, but we have even higher expectations now.
The biggest reward/compliment was when I took my daughter, who was 4 at the time, to see Transformers: Dark Of The Moon at the local cineplex. While waiting for the movie to start a patron came into the theatre wearing our 'This Shirt Means I'm Better Than You' t-shirt. I acknowledged the young man with a "nice shirt" and sat there very happy that I have seen someone wearing our shirt that I didn't know who they were. It is a great reward and I look forward to it happening more often.
One huge step for us this past year was getting our threads into a actual store front. We accomplished that a few short months ago. You can now acquire select TTOFS shirts at the wonderful Bodega located at 220 King St W. in Hamilton. It was a goal I set after our first birthday and we achieved it.
I need to thank Steve for 2 years of dedicated hard work. I may give Steve a heck of a hard time pretty much all the time, but he has been a great business partner and a big reason why TTOFS has been so successful. Thank you Steve.
I also want to thank my wife Randi for putting up with all of the late nights, the time away from home, and the countless hours of me rambling on about what and who I am printing for. Thank you Randi!
And last but not least I want to thank every person who has placed an order in our online store, who has bought a shirt at a live event, and who has ordered custom printed shirts from us. Thank you for digging our threads! YOU ROCK!
